Attorney-Client Privilege: We act as an agent of the law firm in collecting client information, maintaining the attorney-client privilege that attaches to intake communications. Our intake specialists are trained to recognize and protect privileged information.

Confidentiality: All client and case information is treated as strictly confidential. Access is limited to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis, and all staff sign comprehensive confidentiality agreements.

Conflicts of Interest: We maintain appropriate systems to identify and prevent conflicts of interest when serving multiple law firms in the same practice areas.

Unauthorized Practice of Law: Our intake specialists do not provide legal advice. All communications are limited to information gathering and preliminary case assessment based on firm-provided criteria.

For personal injury, medical malpractice, and other health-related legal matters, Liberty Intake operates as a HIPAA Business Associate:

Business Associate Agreements: We execute comprehensive Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) with all law firms handling Protected Health Information (PHI).

Administrative Safeguards: Designated Privacy Officer, comprehensive policies and procedures, workforce training, and regular compliance audits.

Physical Safeguards: Facility access controls, workstation security, device and media controls, and secure disposal procedures for PHI.

Technical Safeguards: Access controls, encryption, audit controls, and transmission security for all electronic PHI.

Breach Notification: Comprehensive breach notification procedures ensuring timely notification to covered entities in the event of any unauthorized PHI disclosure.
